Dani,
I read your posting about a "girl adveture". Count me in, I can be your designated driver. Who is on the invite list? The Tom-Tom which is named Lori estimates we should be entering the good ole USA at the Sumas boarder tonight around 6 or 7, but Lori is usually wrong (Mike says that is normal). Looking forward to kicking Tyler's ass when we get there.
Wife,
Miss you guys, give all a hug.
Nicholas, tell us a joke.
Steven, I dont like talking on the phone either so dont worry about it.
Smallfry, We are getting closer, see you soon.

Greetings from flat, brown, and desolate NM! Glad you boys are having such a great time. However, next time, snag one of them caribou! -- That's the best eating this side of heaven -- had some in Goose Bay, Labrador and I'll pine for it forever. Give the Dani Doodle and her Doodlebug T big hugs for me. Much love to all.
Just finished reading the whole blog (I think). Thanks for the comment: "It seems to me that this is what drew people west to explore the country in the first place; that sense of empty space just ahead makes you want to just keep going and going…"
I have been pondering why people (men!) do that ever since I visited Guttenberg, Iowa and wondered why in the world my great grandparents (read that grandfather, most likely) dragged (most likely) his wife (with the grown children, spouses and their kids following over the space of several years about the turn of the last century)from such a gorgeous place on the Mississippi to Stevens County, WA -- not as pretty by half. So thanks for the probable explanation. However, Great Grandma was no schlump when it came to "keep going and going" -- she left Leichtenstein long before she met her mate -- so perhaps I can't put it all on him.
However, -- a word of warning though, my beloved nephews -- Great Grand Dad was following his nephew! Tee Hee!!
And all this insight on the very day I received in the mail a photocopy of a picture of said nephew, Ambrose, as a young man -- the first I've ever seen. It was taken at a studio in Spokane. So as I just now downloaded all the photos of the 3 of you that you posted in your blog to the Family Photo album, I can now scan his photo in as well. -- Some days do sparkle a little more than others -- and they aren't all snow days! Much love to you 3 nuts in a pod. And thanks for sharing the thoughts, pics and all that you are.
Love, your very ancient aunt.
dad, its a girl adventure.
